Penang Chinatown Collection
29 january 2017
Penang Chinatown belongs to UNESCO world heritage site. Many houses in this district have similar architecture. Nevertheless wonderful decoration made each of them special and unique.
Penang Chinatown is one of the few Chinatowns in the world mentioned in a UNSECO World Heritage Site.
A long gallery split into sections. This is a typical view for many streets in Penang Chinatown.
Despite a uniform design each entrance gate has its own character.
In front of many gates one can see pots with flowers arranged in miniature gardens.
Each house has a little veranda.
Some owners prefer rather ascetic design.
All shades of brown are welcome...
but exceptions also exist. Like this beautiful tale-decorated wall.
Or these lovely beige and turquoise colors.
